FAMILY SESSIONS
Sad Isn’t Bad offers a non-denominational community program that is open to all school-age children (K-12) and their parents and caregivers. In each free, four week session, a dinner is shared by all. Then, professional counselors and social workers lead separate groups for children, adolescents, and adults. Childcare is provided for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
All sessions are held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church (909 W. 33rd St., Sioux Falls) from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Again, these sessions are free, but registration is required. Utilize the registration form linked below, or contact Katherine Olson, Executive Director, at sadisntbad@gmail.com or 605.299.2224.
Anyone can refer families to our program. If you are wishing to refer a family to our program, contact Katherine Olson and she will contact the family to share more information.

THE JOURNEY
Attendees of Sad Isn’t Bad’s previous sessions are invited to attend The Journey. Held 3-4 times a year, the Journey includes dinner, age-appropriate programming and discussion, as well as childcare for the youngest members of the family. Journey sessions are held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church (909 W. 33rd St., Sioux Falls). These sessions are free for all members of our returning families, but registration is required. PREVIEW EVENTS
Three times a year, Sad Isn’t Bad hosts Preview Events for valued leaders in our community. This is our chance to showcase our program to trusted referral partners such as counselors, educators, social workers, religious leaders, childcare professionals, funeral directors, and more. These referral partners are invited to share a meal with members of our board as we present an overview of our programming and answer questions. Preview Events are held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church (909 W. 33rd St., Sioux Falls).
